Christmas is coming and we know a lot of people in Buffalo need computers. Since the onset of COVID-19 this past spring, demand for our services has been at an all-time high. Through it all, our small staff has remained committed to providing affordable technology solutions and getting people access to technology.
The fact is that people need computers to continue learning and working remotely. But, at the same time, many are struggling to make ends meet. So, how will those who need them afford new computers?
That's where Mission: Ignite comes in. For the last 23+ years, we've been Buffalo's affordable technology resource. We've provided computers to nonprofits large and small and schools across the region. Through it all, our small but mighty staff has worked overtime to develop creative solutions in bridging the digital divide.
With the onset of COVID-19, many electronics dealers throughout the country have faced critical shortages. At Mission: Ignite, our supply of computers and computer parts was critically impaired. As companies began to give their extra computers to their employees for remote working instead of donating them to us, we were faced with some difficult decisions.
Responding to the high demand, we looked to acquire computers from liquidators to work on, upgrade, and make available for the public. Reaffirming our commitment to providing computers to our community, we worked to continue making computers for people to continue learning and working from home. We are proud to announce that we now have laptops and desktops fully back in stock...just in time for the holidays.
